''Grandee Custom sideplate''

Rare Nikko Arms Co, made in Japan, Grandee Custom. 12ga over/under shotgun, fully and finely engraved and gold inlaid with sideplates, single trigger, auto ejectors, European style pistol grip stock, high risecheek piece, serial #K511297. The gun shows 29-3/4” barrels, low-rise ventilated rib, nicely checkered select wood stocks with good grain. The action is profusely engraved and gold inlaid showing hunting dogs and birds on left plate surrounded by scrolls and flush gold inlays. The release lever shows a Krieghoff style crown. The right side of frame also shows dogs and ducks with matching scrolls. The bottom of the frame is nicelyengraved and shows portrait of dog retrieving bird. The triggerguard is also nicely engraved and flush gold inlaid. The stock measures 13-1/2” from the trigger to the end of the wood, 14-3/4” to the end of thehard-rubber pad. The gun remains in near fine condition showing some minor firing and use and needs a cleaning and is approx. 96-98% overall. The gun is contained within a good quality leather over wood luggage type case

Serial no. K5113319, 12 gauge. 27 1/2 inch barrels with matted vent rib and single white/single silver bead. Barrel inlaid in gold Grandee Custom, the breech scroll-engraved and inlaid with gold scrolls. Top lever engraved and inlaid with gold crown and borders. Gold S. Action scroll-engraved and inlaid with gold floral tendrils. Sidelocks engraved and inlaid in gold with hunting scenes; right side two setters and three ducks; left side two pointers and three pheasants; floorplate with dog carrying a duck. Non-automatic safety. Gold-plated single selective trigger. Checkered pistolgrip stock of light figured walnut. Wood gripcap with white diamond-shaped inlay. Semi-beavertail fore-end with gold-plated release.
Condition: Excellent and showing little use. Wood with minor storage marks.
